Hake Brushes are a traditional flat wash brush with a tied construction. Soft goat hairs are sewn between flat wood sections, with no metal ferrule. The hairs are very soft white goat hair. They hold a lot of paint, and cover plenty of ground. Versatile, flat, and wide for applying thin media, they are a good choice for washes and background work and are affordable enough to be used for gluing and mounting. A great choice for watercolour washes or encaustic painting.
