Gel Mediums offer many ways to build texture. GOLDEN Gels and Mediums are extremely versatile, and can be used for: Altering Consistency, Altering Sheen, Gluing/Laminating, Increasing Film Integrity, Transparency, Cost-Effectiveness, Adding Texture, Priming Supports, Paint-Making Binders. Same creamy consistency as GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylic colours. Ideal for extending paint and regulating translucency without changing the consistency of the Heavy Body and Matte colours. Holds moderate peaks and texture.

The Regular Gel Gloss is ideal for glazing and other techniques where transparency is desired.

What is a gel medium? Simply put, gel mediums are paint without the pigment. Paint is made using pigments and a binding agent; for acrylic that is an acrylic polymer emulsion. Gel mediums offer a variety of consistencies and sheens while extending the drying time.
