General’s Compressed Charcoal sticks are a good quality sketching stick at an economical price. They can be used for broad strokes or fine lines. Blendable and erasable, they are suitable for working on canvas or paper.
General’s Compressed Charcoal Sticks are created with the same artists favourite, family formula as the General's hand crafted pencils. These sticks are conveniently used by breaking into smaller pieces. The flat edge may be used for broad strokes. They can also be sharpened to a fine point with a sandpaper pad. The drawing may be blended with a soft point, such as a paper stomp, tortillion, or chamois. Erase with a soft white eraser or kneaded eraser. For an exciting presentation, use bold strokes on paper with a rough surface.
